meet gabe

el corazón de cuídate

soy gabe (she/ella), founder of cuídate.

i lead con el corazón, a tender heart, in all connections. my identities + all their intersections have shaped me + inform my work.

for more than a decade i’ve volunteered + worked in spaces centering community health primarily in the realms of mental health + substance use recovery services which led me to earn a master’s degree in public health with a concentration in community health education. my most recent roles have expanded my expertise in the areas of people + culture, leadership development, program development, and fiscal sponsorship. throughout my professional career i’ve honed in on my strengths + the work that energizes + excites me which is what you will find in my offerings. i’m a big ideas person, systems thinker, + future-focused.

i’m a first-generation mexican-american (re)connecting to ancestral lands living in la cdmx with ties to the lands of the cheyenne, ute, arapahoe (colorado) + otoe-missuouria, kaw/kansa, kickapoo, osage (missouri) peoples. my neuro-spice helps keep the ideas fresh + always seeking organization + efficiency. as a queer woman of color, i love co-creating spaces for folks with similar identities where we can safely bring our full + complete selves. my communities have taught me endless compassion, radical acceptance, conflict resolution skills, + that, at times, we may not be for everyone. if my vibe + approach meet you where you’re at, feel free to schedule a 30min call!

hola mundo,

my approach - el camino

i move with intention, strategy, + joy—guiding the work with corazón + la energía of community. inspired by nature, spirit, + moving at the speed of trust (shoutout adrienne maree brown). i strive to create space(s) that feel expansive, grounding, + alive.

my approach begins with seeing the whole picture— getting a 360° view of the challenge —then co-creating solutions that work for everyone. i bring an intersectional lens that centers those most often left out of the conversation to make sure their experiences + needs shape the path forward.

as a strategic thought partner, i help turn ideas into action by clarifying the steps, building the infrastructure, + keeping the process rooted in care, collaboration, + possibility.
